About the inner hijab
An inner hijab is the layer worn underneath a hijab. It gathers the hair into one and smooths the surface around the head, so the hijab worn over it holds its shape and falls in a clean silhouette.
What it does
- Gathers the hair and keeps loose strands from escaping
- Smooths the outline of the head so the outer hijab’s fabric drapes cleanly
- Protects the outer hijab from sweat and natural oils
- Makes putting the hijab on and taking it off easier than wearing it directly against the skin
